Getting started

Nutshell keeps one record of your properties, the people in them, what they owe and what you spend. Setting up takes four things, in this order:

1. A property and its units.
2. A lease for a unit, with the rent and how often it is paid.
3. A tenant on that lease. Nutshell then creates the first rent invoice.
4. Your team, if other people will help.

Most people do the first three in one sitting using the setup flow on usenutshell.com.
